SinterCell™ is one such excellent substitute for plastic due to its favourable mix of price, properties and sustainability. The combination of revolutionary moulds, a unique production process and the use of the greenest raw material distinguishes SinterCell™ end products from all other mainstream fiber products.

Less energy is required to produce the raw material (BCTMP pulp), and it has a much higher yield from trees compared to other pulp alternatives. The premium end products are FSC-certified, microwaveable, oven-safe, and 100% plastic and BPA-free.

World premiere SinterCell™ Fiber Molding machine at Interpack 2023

SCE Technology, part of the Bordex Group, is showing the first SinterCell™ Molded Fiber machine (the SC-200) at Interpack 2023. This will set a new standard for food packaging production using cellulose fibres as a natural raw material. SinterCell™ is a breakthrough production technology for relatively low-cost, high-quality fiber packaging. What makes this wet-molded fibre technology unique is the innovative molding technology combined with fast drying that creates moldable pulp suitable for (food) packaging and disposables. The fibres are massaged, as it were, and slowly compressed together in the mould, creating sturdy, biodegradable and recyclable packaging.
