High-tech production with a focus on quality

At Amhil’s factory, everything revolves around precision and efficiency. The PET drinking cups are produced using thermoforming – a process in which plastic is heated and pressed into the desired shape. Amhil uses both virgin PET pellets and recycled PET in this process. The rPET is thoroughly purified in specialized decontamination units, resulting in a safe, high-quality material that meets the strictest food safety standards.

The result: strong, lightweight cups with a sleek, smooth surface – perfect for both beverages and brand presentation. And they’re suitable not only for cold drinks but also for hot ones. We recently expanded the range with the first HOTPET360 cup: a heat-resistant PET cup specially developed for hot beverages up to 90 degrees Celsius.

Thanks to the in-house laser engraving department, cups can also be personalized without stickers or printed inks, preserving their full recyclability. This makes the cups 100% ‘designed for recycling’ – even with a customer logo.

Certified Sustainability – Backed by Facts

The team at Amhil takes sustainability seriously and ensures objective verification of their efforts. And with success:

• RecyClass Certification (Class A for cups, B for lids): proves that these products can be industrially recycled within Europe.
• Operation Clean Sweep: measures to prevent the loss of plastic pellets (PET granules during production) to combat microplastic pollution.
• SMETA Audit: demonstrates compliance with international standards regarding working conditions, safety, and the environment.
• BRC (AA rating) & FDA Certification: meet the highest food safety standards.
• 297 solar panels on the roof and facade: generating 157,544 kWh of green electricity annually.
• EcoVadis score of 60/100: Amhil scores better than 72% of all evaluated companies—above average in the industry, particularly in the areas of environment, ethics, and labor standards.

These certifications are more important than ever with the introduction of the European PPWR regulations, which make packaging recyclability a strict requirement.

Independently tested for recyclability

To prove that Amhil’s PET cups and lids are not just recyclable on paper, but also truly work in practice, they were tested at an independent European sorting facility. The outcome? Over 84% of the cups were immediately recognized and correctly sorted into the PET recycling stream. The results show that our products seamlessly integrate with existing European sorting and recycling systems — exactly what RecyClass means by “designed for recycling.” It’s an important step toward a circular packaging chain.

Logistics: efficiently organized, sustainably delivered

The factory in Poland features a modern high-bay warehouse where PET cups are efficiently stored and quickly prepared for shipment. By consolidating shipments and using reusable pallets and recyclable packaging, the ecological footprint remains minimal.

Deliveries are handled in collaboration with reliable transport partners — efficiently scheduled, often in full truckloads, and if desired, delivered directly to your warehouse. This ensures fast delivery times, low transport costs, and minimal CO₂ emissions.
