New regulations for circular soft cups

New regulations have come into effect in the Netherlands from January 2024 that have significantly accelerated the transition from single-use to circular plastic. For restricted events, there is now a collection obligation of at least 75%. And whether you go for hard cups or soft cups, a well-functioning collection system is always essential. Encouraging returns by means of a deposit system or a recycling coin can significantly contribute to higher collection rates. Furthermore, it is crucial that collected cups are free of contaminants such as cans, printed material, confetti, sand and food scraps. This enables us to guarantee full recyclability.
