PET360® drinking cups and containers from Bordex Packaging have been named Winner in the Excellent Communications Design category at the internationally renowned German Design Awards. A panel of experts has chosen the best communication and product designs from home and abroad from more than 5,400 entries. The jury in the Packaging category was won over by the circular PET360® cup and rewarded Bordex Packaging with the ‘Winner’ Award. The jury called it an exciting and highly versatile product that’s notable for the fact that it reduces plastic waste without sacrificing the benefits of plastic. 

Five hundred professionals from the packaging industry were present in Hilversum on Thursday 15th March for the presentation of the NL Packaging Awards 2018. Hosted by the television presenter Art Rooijakkers, it was an evening of networking, dining, performances by various artistes and, of course, the announcement of the winners by the jury chairpeople. Twelve winners and eleven runners-up were awarded prizes. There had been no less than 150 submissions and 52 nominations.

In the next few years Bordex Packaging is going to reduce the use of (virgin) raw materials for PET beer and other glasses. The aim is to reduce the use of raw materials to zero percent within 10 years. This development and the commercialisation of 100 percent renewable PET360® is an important breakthrough.
